Space & Rocket Center - July 24, 2009

Blake is Two and a Half :)
Blake is 2 1/2 now and will be a big brother soon.
His vocabulary is improving bit by bit, but he's still having trouble creating sentences. On the way to Missouri, in June, he surprised Mommy and Daddy by saying very clearly, "I want that."
He loves his babysitter, Rachel, who he calls "Chachel", and chatters all the way to her house when we go.
Blake loves to play in his pool or in the bathtub. I'm looking forward to taking him to swim lessons someday.
We're getting ready for the arrival of Blake's little brother, due Sept. 30th. Blake's toddler bed has been converted back to a crib and he has a brand new twin mattress with Bob the Builder sheets. (The bed frame will come later.) He doesn't quite understand that there's a baby joining the family soon. I point to my belly and tell him there's a baby in mommy's belly and he pulls up his shirt and points to his own belly saying "baby."
